National Plug In Day will celebrate the growing number of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

The event will be held locally from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Nissan of the Eastside, 11815 NE Eighth St., Bellevue.

Each celebration event will be led by local plug-in drivers and advocates to provide an opportunity for the general public to “meet and greet” today’s top plug-ins and learn more about usage, performance and benefits from those who know the vehicles best.

The Bellevue event is expected to feature more than 100 plug-in vehicles and owners, along with a catered lunch and appearances by local luminaries who support “going electric”.
