In its second installment Thursday, the Bellevue Neighborhoods Forum will explore the city’s changing demographics. A panel will consider how we develop community connections that include Bellevue’s high percentages of seniors, minorities and children.
The forum, 6-9 p.m., at the Crossroads Community Center, will include free dinner courtesy of forum sponsor Chipotle Mexican Grill.
The Neighborhoods Forum, which included an event in April, will continue the theme of building vibrant and connected communities by bringing residents together for an opportunity to learn, share and think about the future of their neighborhoods.
The panel will include: Helena Stephens, Bellevue Family, Youth & Teen Services manager; diversity consultant Ralph Ibarra; and Joanne Donohue, vice president of Senior Services of King County. Following the panel, each participant will choose their primary area of interest and continue discussion with the panelist in that focus area.
The neighborhood associations sponsoring the two-part series are: Horizon Crest Community Association, Horizon Heights Community Association, Newport Hills Community Club, Somerset Community Association, Sunset Community Association, Surrey Downs Community Club and Whispering Heights/Collingwood Community Association.
This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required and space is limited. For information or reservations, contact Neighborhood Outreach at 425-452-6836 or neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov. neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov.
