A new Bellevue church plans to “love Bellevue” in July with a number of free events for the community and service projects throughout the month.

“We want to show the people of Bellevue that we care about them,” said Warren Mainard, Essential Church’s lead pastor. “We have a lot planned throughout the month – from block parties to soccer camps to concerts to movie nights and more. We know that when a city experiences love in the context of community, positive things are bound to happen. We love, because God first loved us.”

On the agenda are:

Two free weeklong soccer camps (July 8-12, 15-19)

Three free family block parties with inflatables, food and games (July 16, 17, 18)

School cleanup day at Big Picture School

Jubilee Family Serve (where volunteers will deliver household items to families in need)

Free concert by the Prestonwood Baptist Church Youth Choir

Free movie night at the Jubilee Reach Center

Volunteers helping with the Jubilee After School camps at Odle and Highland middle schools

Taking gifts of appreciation to some of the top influencers in Bellevue (school, city council, police department, fire department, etc).

Essential Church also will host a sneak peak of the church’s worship service at 10:45 a.m. on July 21 at the South Bellevue Community Center, 14509 SE Newport Way. The church will serve a free meal after the service.
