A 38-year-old Newcastle woman was transported to the Harborview Trauma Center on March 27 following a two-vehicle collision at I-90 near the I-405 interchange in Bellevue.
The Washington State Patrol reports Andrea Carty was traveling eastbound on I-90 in her Toyota Corolla, when she slowed abruptly for traffic and turned to the left. She was struck by a Ford F150 in the adjacent lane driven by a 25-year-old Puyallup man, who was uninjured. Both vehicles were reportedly totaled in the wreck.
The Bellevue Fire Department responded to the collision, and reported having to extricate Carty from her vehicle. The collision remains under investigation.
