Nicholas Mahan of Bellevue, a recent graduate of Eastside Catholic High School, has been awarded a scholarship from the Edmund F Maxwell Foundation. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years for a total of up to $20,000.

The scholarship is designed to provide assistance to those who have shown ability, aptitude and a promise of useful citizenship. Additionally, Nicholas was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the local Notre Dame Club of Greater Seattle. He received the designation of “AP Scholar with Distinction” recently from the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program. Nicholas is pursuing his first year of studies at the University of Notre Dame.
