Late night and early morning drivers heading west on Interstate 90 through Bellevue this week should plan for delays. Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes of the roadway at Richards Road, Monday and Tuesday nights. All lanes will reopen in time for the morning commute. This work is part of a project to retrofit several bridges on I-90 to help them better withstand earthquakes. During the closure crews will remove shoring.
· Monday, Nov. 7 to the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 9 – Crews will close all lanes of westbound I-90 at Richards Road nightly from 10:30 p.m., until 5 a.m. to remove shoring. Crews will start closing the first lane at 8 p.m., the second at 9 p.m., the third at 10 p.m., all lanes by 10:30 p.m.
Traffic will be detoured onto southbound I-405 to Coal Creek Parkway, back to northbound I-405 and westbound I-90.
