The Northwest Sound Men’s Chorus is sponsoring free singing lessons to male singers of all ages. Classes will be 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights in Bellevue beginning Feb. 24. The classes will run for six weeks.

The course will cover the foundation of healthy singing, finding your best range, proper vowel usage, tuning, how to sing in close harmony and finding the message of a song for a complete musical experience.

The ability to read music is helpful, but not required. CD learning tracks and mp3 files will be provided so participants can learn in their car or at home.

Class members will learn 3-4 a cappella pieces. Participants, backed by the Northwest Sound Men’s Chorus, will put on a show for friends and family on the last day of the event at 8 p.m. March 24.
