Richard Taggart
Richard Taggart, of Bellevue, died at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue on Sunday, April 13, 2008. He was 84.
Mr. Taggart was born on Feb. 27, 1924 in Los Angeles. Following high school graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in the South Pacific during World War II.
He married Beverly Schoene, in Sacramento, Calif., on July 13, 1944. Their only child, Candi, was born in 1957.
Mr. Taggart worked as an airline pilot for Flying Tiger Line in El Segundo, Calif., until his retirement in 1984. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living in Bellevue. His wife preceded him in death on April 18, 2003.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah.
