A celebration of life for Sigrid Helen Doran, a former Bellevue teacher, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 from 3-5 p.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant, 10455 N.E. Eighth St., Bellevue.
Mrs Doran died recently.
She was born in Bellingham on June 6, 1950. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in elementary education in 1971 and completed her masters in education in 1974. She began her career in the Bremerton public schools and then moved to Bellevue public schools in August 1972 teaching kindergarten at Ardmore Elementary.
She also taught at Bellewood, Hillaire, Sunset, Medina and retired in June 2005 from Clyde Hill Elementary after 27 years as a kindergarten teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Edna Coffelt and is is survived by three children, Dena Stoll (Matt) of St. Paul, Minn., Rosanne Landon, Mark Landon and grandson, all of Bellevue. Services will be private.
