Alan Mathews, a NW Orchid Society board member, will discuss orchids from noon to 1 p.m. May 1 at Molbak’s in Woodinville.

Attendees will receive the information they need to make orchids thrive. Mathews will talk about the different varieties and their needs, and basic care, which includes watering, fertilizing, repotting, pruning and re-blooming.
