Overlake Hospital Medical Center will host its annual Active Senior Fair on Saturday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westminster Chapel, 13646 NE 24th St., Bellevue.
Fair highlights include entertainment; fashion show, featuring the 2010 Spring Collection from Coldwater Creek of Bellevue Square, 10:15 a.m.; Marianne Binetti, gardening show host and columnist, will present Top 10 Tips for saving time, money and water in your garden, noon; Wrinkles of Washington, A Musical Review, will perform their song and dance show, 2 p.m.
Lecture presentations will include Don’t Let Joint Pain Keep You Down – Enjoy Life, by James Bruckner, MD, 10:15 a.m.; I Can See Clearly Now! by Michael Gilbert, MD, 11:15 a.m.; Healthy Aging: What Is It? by Hank Williams, MD, 12:15 p.m.; Keep Your Heart Healthy, by Ronnier Aviles, MD, 1:15 p.m.; Incontinence: It Can Be Treated, by Robert Weissman, MD, 2:15 p.m.
There also will be demonstrations and 55 exhibitors who serve the active senior community.
Free health screenings also will be offered by Overlake healthcare professionals including blood pressure checks, bone density testing, posture and balance screening, body fat analysis, cholesterol and glucose (no fasting required), stroke screening, vision screening and more.
A $5 suggested donation helps support Senior Care’s community education programs. Free parking is available. A soup-and-sandwich lunch buffet (from $3.50 to $7) will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
