Overlake Hospital Medical Center will host an educational conference June 13 to connect cancer survivors and caregivers with healthcare providers.
The event, called “Cancer Survivorship: Looking to Your Future,” is free to the public and will be held at the PACCAR Education Center on Overlake’s Bellevue campus from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Debra Jarvis, author of “It’s Not About the Hair,” will deliver the keynote address, and other speakers will discuss a range of topics including nutrition for cancer survivors, genetic testing, and the legal rights of cancer patients.
Coinciding with the conference is the appearance of the exhibit “Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey,” which showcases art by people affected by cancer. The exhibit will be on display in the main walkway in the Overlake Medical Tower and the PACCAR Education Center lobby from June 1 through June 14.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided and educational resource tables will be available to all participants during the June 13 conference.
Registration is limited; the public can contact Kathleen Craig at 425-688-5816 to sign up.
