Bellevue’s Cultural Diversity Program will sponsor a free workshop and panel discussion to help nonprofits, agencies, community organizations and businesses increase outreach and connections with diverse populations.
The workshop will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 10 at Crossroads Community Center, 16000 NE 10th St.
Panelists will include: Enrique Cerna, Public Affairs Director, KCTS-9; Teresa Jones, Washington Hispanic Media Association; Venice Buhain, Editor, Bellevue Patch; and Sonya Green, News and Public Affairs Director, KBCS-FM, 91.3.
Planned topics include information about a variety existing diverse media resources, how to approach the media and pitch story ideas, and basics of writing strong, appealing press releases and other publicity-related materials.
