St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Factoria will have a celebration of renewal of ministry as they officially welcome their new rector, the Rev. Christina Jillard at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31. Bishop Greg Rickel from the Diocese of Olympia will preside and retired Bishop Michael Creighton from the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania will preach.
The church is located at 4228 Factoria Blvd. SE, Bellevue.
Jillard, 56, comes to St. Margaret’s from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Altoona, Penn. Her particular ministry interests are balancing celebration and relationship-building with spiritual growth and service to the outside world.
She got her Masters of Divinity from General Theological Seminary in New York and was ordained in 2001, becoming a fifth generation clergyperson in her family.

Leslie Ann Rumrill of Bellevue has been named to the dean’s list at Iowa State University for fall semester. Rumrill, a senior, is pursuing an architecture-professional degree.
Alison Kairis of Bellevue is one of 41 first-year students chosen to be part of the Comprehensive Leadership Program at Gonzaga University.
Cadet Reggie Woronowicz, daughter of Mary Ellen Mullen and Bo Woronowicz, and sister of Roberta Woronowicz of Bellevue, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the U.S. Military Academy.
To earn this distinction, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 average in all courses.
Woronowicz graduated from Seattle Prep in 2007 and will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation at West Point.
Five Bellevue students have made the dean’s list at the University of Portland. They are Elizabeth D’Amelio-Bidleman, freshman, biology; Michael Broom, sophomore, business; Amber Giordano, sophomore, nursing; Lauren Kamitsuka, sophomore, nursing; and Mary Petschl, senior, psychology.
Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the dean’s list.
