Bellevue Police Ofc. Carla Iafrate said officers have arrested one of two suspects allegedly involved in an attempted burglary on the 3800 block of 150th Avenue Southeast this afternoon. A homeowner returned home and reported two men who ran out of her home, said Iafrate. Because officers were already in the area for an unrelated call, one man was quickly apprehended and police anticipate the other will be in custody shortly.

Eastgate Elementary went on lockdown  shortly, but has reopened. Students were already released from school early Wednesday, but the elementary went on lockdown because of remaining staff inside, said Sara Schwartz, school district communications manager.
