Bellevue Police responded to the Red Lion Hotel early Monday morning after a guest reported a man trying to gain entry into their room by claiming to be a police officer himself and brandishing a handgun.
Officers responded to the hotel on the 11200 block of Main Street around 12:41 a.m., where a K-9 unit was dispatched in an attempt to locate the suspect.
The alleged victim describes the assailant as a skinny black man, about six feet tall, 150 pounds, with short, cropped hair and wearing a Seahawks hoodie.
The case remains under investigation. The suspect is not believed to be tied to another robbery reported around 7 p.m. Jan. 30 on the 100 block of Bellevue Square.
