Police seek hit-and-run suspect

The Bellevue Police Department is investigating a Thursday night hit-and-run collision at the intersection of 140th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street that left one driver in serious condition at Overlake Hospital.

A 34-year-old Bellevue man was exiting the Shell gas station at 14008 N.E. Eighth Street in aKing County Ride Share van around 6:20 p.m. onto 140th Avenue Northeast when he was struck by a Ford F-150 traveling at a high rate of speed, which then continued to flee northbound. The F-150 is believed to be a late 90s to early 2000s model.

Police have provided a photo still from a traffic camera of the suspect vehicle, which should have damage to the passenger-side front corner and missing a front headlight and mirror. The BPD also provided a photo example of the F-150 and a photo of the damaged Ride Share van. Anyone with information can call 9-1-1 or Bellevue Police at 425-452- 5244.
