Preparedness fair to help people survive disasters

Residents can learn how to prepare for emergencies at a preparedness fair at Crossroads Bellevue in April.

“Ways to Survive” is the theme for the fair organized by Bellevue’s Office of Emergency Management. The free event which runs from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, will be at the Market Stage area of the Crossroads shopping center located at 156th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street.

Experts from Bellevue Fire, Puget Sound Energy and the National Weather Service and others will speak on topics related to emergency preparedness. There will also be live entertainment, supplies for home emergency kits, and prizes you can win by playing emergency preparedness bingo.
