Bellevue residents will have an opportunity to comment on the draft 2011 stormwater management plan at the Environmental Services Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 3 Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE, conference room 1E-112.

The plan contains requirements by the federal Clean Water Act.

Bellevue must submit a stormwater management plan each year to the state Department of Ecology, which describes actions the city will take in the upcoming year to implement stormwater management requirements in the permit and protect water quality.

Bellevue is one of more than 100 communities in Washington that must implement requirements in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Program (NPDES) Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit.

The City Council will review all comments received on the draft stormwater plan before approving it for submittal to Ecology.
