Bellevue Goodwill’s Job Training and Education Center will register people May 9-12 and May 16-19 for free classes for an eight-week session that runs from May 23 through July 15.
Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. Additionally, people can register on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. Classes are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The center will offer the following classes:
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Basic ESOL: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Level 1: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 2:30-4 p.m.
Level 2: Mondays and Wednesdays – 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Level 3: Mondays and Wednesdays – 12:30-2 p.m.
ESOL Computer Basics (two classes): Tuesdays and Thursdays – 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1-2:30 p.m.
Basic Computers
Introductory classes for people with little or no computer skills.
Computer Basics: Mondays and Wednesdays – 12:30-2 p.m.
Microsoft Word: Mondays and Wednesdays – 10-11:30 p.m.
Microsoft Excel: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 3-4:30 p.m.
Internet Job Search: Mondays and Wednesdays – 2:30-4 p.m.
Career Building Assistance
The center opens its computer lab to the general public for career-related activities during designated times; registration is not necessary. Goodwill instructors will be available to help people conduct job searches on the Internet, write resumes and cover letters, and more.
Mondays through Thursdays – 9-10 a.m.
