Registration is now open for the 17th Annual Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure being held on Sunday, June 6 at the Seattle Center. The group is challenging every person joining the Race for the Cure to commit to raise a minimum of $150, equivalent to the cost of one mammogram.

The affiliate also announce the addition of the Komen Puget Sound Health Expo being held at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall on Saturday, June 5.

The Race for the Cure is the Puget Sound Affiliate’s largest breast cancer awareness event and has set a fundraising goal of $1.7 million and a participation goal of 15,500 people for the 2010 Race.

Online entry fees are $30 for adults, $20 for children 6-12 years of age, $10 for children 5 years of age and younger, or $35 for Sleep in for the Cure.

The Komen Puget Sound Health Expo is free and open to the public.
