Republicans in the state legislature want to raise your taxes.  The transportation bill that passed the Senate early this month imposes an additional 11.7 cent tax on gas.   Wait. I thought Republicans hated taxes.   Oh no, that only applies to progressive taxes on the wealthy.  Republicans are quite willing to make the middle class pay a regressive gas tax or sales tax, but they wouldn’t dare tax the rich, even though Washington State has the more regressive tax system in the nation.
