Peeing pervert: A parent of a student at Newport Heights Elementary reported seeing a man urinating near the school fence while all of the kids were exiting the school. The parents took pictures of the incident, and although an officer was able to identify the suspect, he has been unable to locate him.

Home invasion hullabaloo: The suspect, who was most likely under the influence and has an extensive criminal history, attempted to break into a condo in Bellevue. He tore off the screen door, but was met by the rather large and armed homeowner who did a good job on deescalating the situation. The suspect also attempted to gain entry into another condo unit.

Strollin’ and stealing: The suspect was seen attempting to take a UPS package from a doorstep on Bellevue Way Southeast and was confronted by a neighbor. He was then seen walking down the street with a TV in a stroller with his 3-year-old son walking behind him. When officers approached the suspect they did not find a TV in the stroller, but a laptop. Just then, a 911 caller reported that their office was just burglarized and a TV and laptop were taken from the office. The suspect was arrested.

Busted: An officer contacted two subjects on Northeast Sixth Street after smelling marijuana. He noted both their youthful age and suspicious behavior, and found marijuana-laced edibles (Rice Krispies treats) from one juvenile and a total of 14 grams of marijuana from both. Their parents were notified.

Domestic assault: Officers responded to a call about a subject with a history of mental/emotional issues and previous suicide attempts whose behavior was escalating, according to his wife. He was making veiled threats towards wife’s ex-husband, who the subject believed she was cheating with. The subject fled prior to police arrival and could not be located. Officers ultimately determined no crime occurred and documented the incident. The wife decided to leave the residence, and when she returned, an argument ensued. The subject shoved her down on the bed, then placed his hands around his wife’s neck, but she claims her airway was never restricted. He then obtained a very large knife and cut his own throat. The wife fled the apartment and called 911. Initially, the suspect barricaded himself in the bedroom, but an officer successfully talked him out of his bedroom. He was taken to Overlake Hospital for treatment and is being charged with assault.

Roadside robbery: The victim reported he stopped to help a motorist in need and three males robbed him of $1,000 in cash. He stated one of them had a knife and they fled towards Interstate 90 in an older red Honda. He waited 10 minutes to call police, and also couldn’t say where exactly it had happened. A report was taken, but there are still some questions to be answered.

Apartment assault: Police responded to a disturbance where the suspect tried to grab and hit her roommate. Another roommate tried to restrain the suspect and was assaulted during the struggle. The second roommate used pepper spray to defend herself. There was also a two-month-old baby present who was taken to the hospital for an evaluation for possible exposure to pepper spray.

Thieving friend: The victim invited the suspect to couch-surf at her apartment along with many others, but then noticed that items appeared to be missing. The victim and the others confronted the suspect, who jumped out of the window of the apartment, fearing that the group was going to harm him. The victim called 911 and reported that the suspect was seen running towards Azteca, where officers apprehended him.
