Robert D. Wall of Issaquah passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. He was 83.

Robert D. Wall of Issaquah passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. He was 83.

Mr. Wall was born April 10, 1927 in South Dakota and attended schools there. In the mid-1940s he entered the United States Army.

On Dec. 7, 1957 he married Louise Prestek in Seattle. They settled in Bellevue in 1961. In 1948 he went to work in maritime industry on tug boats where he worked for 42 years on tug boats before his retirement in 1990.

He was a member of The Issaquah Elks Club for 34 years.

Survivors include his stepson, Gary Pilcher (Patricia); niece, Debbie Havner; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Wall. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise in 2004.

A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at Flintoft’s Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah. A military committal with honors will follow at 1 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
