The Pacific Science Center is rolling out its Science on Wheels program this summer, hitting several stops in Bellevue this month to promote active brains while school’s out.
Science on Wheels started during the gas crisis in the ’70s, when many children couldn’t get to the Pacific Science Center for field trips. Since then, the program has made the rounds each year to provide children with educational fun via mobile exhibits. Visits include an assembly and as many as 30 interactive exhibits set up in a library or gym. Science of Wheels covers seven subject areas; six are for elementary schools and one for secondary.
