Bellevue Boy Scout Troop 662 will offer its annual holiday tree recycling on Jan. 2 and 8.

Bellevue Boy Scout Troop 662 will offer its annual holiday tree recycling on Jan. 2 and 8.

Scouts will pick up trees in the Woodridge, Kelsey Creek, College Hill, Newport Hills, Newport Shores and Somerset areas.

To arrange a tree pick up, send an e-mail to: troop662treepickup@hotmail.com and include:

– Your home address (with unit number when appropriate).

– Your desired pick up day Jan. 2 or Jan. 8.

– A contact name and phone number _ not required but helpful.

People should simply leave their next to the curb by 9 a.m. the morning of the pick up.

The Scouts can’t pick up flocked or painted trees, ornaments or lights.

– Attach an envelope, with “662” written in large numerals, to the tree so it can be seen by the scouts (many residents place the donation envelope in a Ziploc-type plastic bag to keep the contents dry).

– Suggested donation is $10 (make checks payable to Troop 662; no cash please)

Tree recycling is donated by Davey Tree Expert Company.
