Bellevue residents seeking to improve their neighborhoods can obtain up $5,000 in matching grants from the city.
The money is available for projects such as an upgrade to an entry or common area, new mailboxes or neighborhood signs, or a community art project. To qualify, neighbors need to provide 50 percent of the project cost in dollars or labor, and the project must be approved by the city.
The city is accepting applications now, on a first-come, first-served basis, until the $100,000 reserved in the Capital Investment Program for Neighborhood Match grants is depleted.
For more information or an application, residents should contact Patricia Knight at 425-452-7917.
