St. Louise School teacher Karen Alleman has been named a “Symetra Hero in the Classroom.” Alleman, who teaches kindergarten at the school, received a check for $1,000 for her classroom, two Seahawks game tickets and a heroes certificate. She plans to use her financial gift to offer classroom enhancement to her students such as a science assembly or an author visit.

“Karen Alleman is a most amazing educator,” said the parent who nominated her for the Symetra award. “While some might think, ‘Oh, it’s just kindergarten,’ she connects with her students individually to help each reach his or her fullest potential.”

St. Louise School is a Catholic school located in the Crossroads area of Bellevue.
