The St. Louise School 7th and 8th Grade Leadership Class presented a “gift from the heart” to parishioners and former school parents, John and Shelia Croasdill last week.
Earlier this year, the Croasdill family lost their home to fire. Their family had four children who all attended St. Louise School from 1966 through 1979. Hearing of the tragedy, the St. Louise School 7th & 8th graders got the idea to raise money for the family by encouraging each St. Louise student to offer $1 for the rebuilding effort. The result, was a collection of more than $1,340 which was deposited into a special bank account opened up for the Croasdill’s home-rebuilding fund. Rebuilding will begin soon, now that the permit process is completed.
The Croasdill family called the act of kindness “overwhelming,” and that were “proud to be a part of the St. Louise family.”
