The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking nominations to its Boating Safety Advisory Council. The commission is looking for individuals to represent educators, anglers and hunters. The deadline for submitting nominations is Oct. 12.
The council assists and advises the commission on administration of its boating safety program, which provides information and education on safe and environmentally sound boating practices to agencies, organizations and individuals statewide.
The three-year appointments will be made by Dec. 1, with terms of service commencing on Jan. 1, 2010. Those submitting an application or nominating individuals for the council should consider that State Parks serves a culturally diverse population and is committed to diversity.
