The Cellular Connection, a Verizon mobile retailer, will give away backpacks filled with school supplies from its Main Street store Aug. 2. The School Rocks Backpack Giveaway campaign is donating 100,000 backpacks nationwide during back-to-school season 2014.

Since the beginning of March, store customers have been asked if they would round up their purchases to the nearest dollar. The difference went into the retailer’s backpack fund.

Backpacks contain pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, glue and other supplies. They will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Cellular Connection’s Bellevue store is located at 14825 Main St.
