Three swimming areas in Bellevue will close for Milfoil treatment in the coming week.
Treatment will take place at the Bellevue Marina and private applications at neighborhood properties.
The Department of Ecology cites Milfoil as the most problematic plant in Washington for its ability to alter a water body’s ecology by preventing wind from mixing oxygenated surface water with deeper water.
All treatments begin and end at 7 a.m., and parks will remain open during the swimming area closures.
