With the possibility of snow and freezing temperatures in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday, commuters should be prepared, check conditions carefully before traveling and allow extra travel time if needed.

In Bellevue, the forecast calls for temperatures to drop to freezing by Wednesday morning and potential snow accumulations of one-half inch at elevations above 400 feet. Additional accumulations of up to one inch are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could create slick driving conditions for commuters.

While it’s possible the snowfall could miss Bellevue, city crews and Bellevue’s fleet of plows, sanders and de-icing equipment will be standing by in case they are needed.
