Seastar Restaurant in Bellevue will host a two-hour Twitter charity event in partnership with Lynn Haigh, founder of PawPawty, an organization that helps animals across the world through Twitter fundraisers.

The event not only will take place physically from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, September 25 at Seastar’s Bellevue location, but also virtually via Twitter.

The goal of the real/virtual event is to raise $1,000 to benefit Homeward Pet, a no-kill rescue, shelter and adoption center which servers the greater Seattle area.

Funds will be raised in several ways: Seastar will donate $2 to Homeward Pet for every mojito or cosmopolitan drink bought during the event. Both physical and virtual attendees will have the opportunity to make monetary donations onsite or online. Corporate sponsors will donate funds for this charity event and/or door prizes for the attendees.
