Two events in Bellevue will be part of this year’s Greenway Days.

Greenway Days celebrates the conservation and education efforts in the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the over 4,000 annual volunteers who give their time to enhance the Greenway.

New this year will be a Father’s Day Orienteering & Climbing Challenge to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20. People will be able to test their outdoor orienteering skills as they navigate South Bellevue’s Eastgate Park. The course is suitable for all ages and takes about 1 hour to complete.

Also available will be the Vertical Play Pen for ages 12+ and the Indoor Climbing Wall for ages 6+. Pre-registration is not required and no experience or equipment is necessary. For more information call 425-452-4240 or 425-864-1794.

Also part of Greenway Days summer events will hands-on activities at Fraser Heritage Cabin at Kelsey Creek Farm. The event, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, will let people step back in time and enjoy the pristine setting of one of Bellevue’s oldest farms.

Eastside Heritage Center will host the Heritage Day at Fraser Cabin with hands-on activities that relate to settler life in Bellevue during the 1880s. Also available will be Kelsey Creek Farm animals and miles of hiking trails.
