Two Bellevue residents have been jailed in Kitsap County following an altercation at North Kitsap High School that sent a 16-year-old student there to the hospital.
According to Poulsbo Police Sgt. Robert Wright, the two males — one 18, the other 17 — are alleged to have attacked the student Thursday afternoon. They had come over from Bellevue “trying to protect a friend,” according to Wright.
The incident was reported around 2:45 p.m. Twenty minutes later, another fight broke out on high school grounds. It is not clear if the two incidents are related, Wright said.
The two Bellevue residents were booked into jail on suspicion of assault.
The Poulsbo Police Department is investigating both incidents.
