Two from Medina compete on robotics team

Fifth graders Bennett Husick and Matthew LePage, both Medina residents, competed in the First Lego League State semi-finals with the French American School of Puget Sound robotics team. The five-member school team received the Judges Award.

“The best part [for me] was working together as a team, just pulling through all of these amazing things,” Husick said. “I am actually a rookie this year.” LePage added that he “learned how to work more as a team, how to program robots, and do a better project presentation.”

The team met weekly starting in the fall to prepare for the competition.
