City Councilmembers from Bellevue, Newcastle to chair county committees

Bellevue City Councilman Don Davidson was elected Vice Chair of the King County Regional Water Quality Committee, and Newcastle City Councilman Sonny Putter was elected Vice Chair of the King County Regional Policy Committee. Their elections were part of a voter-approved change to the King County charter that gives cities a larger voice and influence over the County’s three regional committees, which include policy, transit, and water quality.

Only King County councilmembers could serve as chairs and vice chairs for these groups in the past.
