Bellevue firefighters responded to a vehicle fire early Wednesday morning at the Eastgate Park and Ride garage, where a minivan on the second floor was destroyed and another vehicle damaged.
Multiple reports came in around 7 a.m. Wednesday of heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the park and ride garage. Crews used a deck gun from one fire engine to combat the fire from the south side of the garage, and were aided by multiple sprinkler heads inside the structure. No one was injured during the fire.
Damage caused to one vehicle was estimated at $10,000, with another $500 in contents lost. The cause of the fire was undetermined and has been left to the insurance companies to handle.
