VFW Post 2995 will hold a flag disposal at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11. The public is invited and welcome to drop off any non-serviceable flag to be disposed of free of charge.

The public is also invited to watch and or participate in the ceremony as well. The post is located at 4330 148th Ave. NE.

Post officials note the flag of the United States gets the same military funeral as any military or veteran who served their country. There will be a gun salute and taps to give it the same dignity as a human being.
