Fine Art

Bellevue Arts Museum Artsfair, July 29-31. The event is 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday and 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday. From jewelry and wearables to paintings and ceramics, BAM artsfair is one of the largest, most prestigious art festivals in the Pacific Northwest. Opera

Seattle Opera presents American classic, “Porgy and Bess” July 30-Aug. 20. The opera explores the ennobling romance between a beggar and a battered woman in Charleston, South Carolina, in the early 20th century. “Ruddigore,” or “The Witch’s Curse, a Melodramatic Ghost Story” runs July 15-30 at Bagley Wright Theatre (155 Mercer St. Seattle, WA, 98109. This show spoofs the popular melodramas of the late 1800s featuring some of Sullivan’s best and most singable music; Gilbert’s clever plot line and lyrics; and a stage full of unforgettable characters.
