A large crane needed to construct the West Approach Bridge North Project will be delivered to the Montlake area beginning at 11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. To safely deliver the oversize load along the floating bridge, crews are required to shut down all westbound State Route 520 lanes from 92nd Avenue Northeast to Montlake Boulevard.

All eastbound lanes will remain open during the closure and the westbound highway will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10.

In addition to the highway lane closures, crews also will intermittently close a single northbound lane of Montlake Boulevard weeknights, as early as 7 p.m., throughout February. Timing and locations of the Montlake Boulevard lane closures will depend on construction sequencing. All lanes will be reopened by 6 a.m. the following day. Drivers should use caution and follow traffic signs.
