Nature Vision, a non-profit environmental-education-outreach program, will host a wilderness survival camp July 21-24 at Lewis Creek Park, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. The four-day camp will include exploration time in the woods, plus lessons on basic wilderness-survival skills and creating nature crafts.
“So often, we hear of children who have wandered off and the sometimes tragic results,” said Nature Vision President Clay Heilman. “This camp will equip these kids with tools and knowledge they will use throughout their lives, as well as engage them with many fun, active, hands on, minds on activities, all with a Pacific Northwest nature theme.”
Lewis Creek Park is a 55-acre park situated at the headwaters of Lewis Creek.
Kids ages 7-12 can register for the wilderness camp by July 10. Additional information is available by contacting info@naturevision.org or calling 425-836-2697. The cost is $120 per camper.
