A 19-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a woman during an anger management session at Bellevue College.
According to court documents, the victim was sitting inside the classroom when the suspect, Faribah Maradiaga, entered the classroom and started complaining about a movie the class was watching. The victim asked Maradiaga to give the video a chance, at which point Maradiaga swore at her and the two started arguing.
The victim noticed a knife in Maradiaga’s hands and said she came at her four times with it. The victim was stabbed twice in the shoulder. Maradiaga was removed from the classroom while 911 was called for the victim.
Maradiaga was arrested for first-degree assault. While being booked she told officers the victim made a threatening comment towards her while the two were watching a movie.
Maradiaga was held on $50,000 bail with arraignment set for Oct. 25 in Seattle.
