A workshop Thursday will help residents make improvements to their neighborhoods. At the city’s latest Great Community workshop, 7 to 9 p.m. at City Hall Room 1E-108, residents will learn how to apply for funding and more for projects.

The evening begins with a 15-minute informal “meet and mingle” with refreshments. The presentation will begin at 7:15 p.m., with Neighborhood Match coordinator Patricia Knight and Neighborhood Enhancement coordinator Ron Matthew who will share their expertise on how to get tangible projects done in your neighborhood.

What qualifies for matching funds? How does the Neighborhood Enhancement Program work? When does NEP come to your neighborhood? Questions on the navigation of both large and small projects through the city system will be answered.

Neighborhood leaders Vicky Minzel and Kathy Mead will present examples of what works. People can join in an audience brainstorming session on your project ideas and learn how they fit into the system.
