Rob Wyman has been named to serve as full-time, permanent city manager for the city of Newcastle.

The Newcastle City Council selected Wyman during a special meeting August 31. Wyman had served as the city’s interim city manager since January and in various capacities for Newcastle between the years of 1998 and 2008. Wyman later worked as a private consultant in community planning and commercial real estate – until his return to Newcastle in January of this year.

Wyman will be paid $110,000 per year in annual salary, plus benefits.
