The YMCA of Greater Seattle this month received a $25,000 grant from the Puget Sound Energy Foundation to help build four new community YMCAs, one of them in Newcastle.

The Puget Sound Energy Foundation grant supports the YMCA’s “It’s All About Community!” Capital Campaign to expand programs and services in those communities. The new facility is expected to be completed by 2010.

“The Puget Sound Energy Foundation is delighted to donate to the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s capital campaign to help build four new centers, as it will enable the ‘Y’ to serve more people and youth,” said Phil Bussey, chairman of the Puget Sound Energy Foundation and senior vice president of Corporate Affairs for Puget Sound Energy.
