Billie Eardley Fisher
Billie Fisher, 94, died March 26, 2016. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Walter M. Eardley and Clara M. Ace, on March 26, 1922.
Billie was the baby sister to five sisters and one brother. The family moved to Idaho Falls when Billie was two. Billie married Don Leon Fisher at age 19. They lived in Idaho, Virginia, Georgia, and Washington State.
Billie was widowed at age 49, entered college and received a degree in Interior Design, at age 54, from Bellevue Community College. She worked for the firm, Emel Decorating. Billie wed John L. Collard in 1977.
Billie has been a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret’s, Bellevue and St. Benedict’s, Lacey. She was a Eucharistic Minister, Alter Guild member, small group member and active in the Daughter’s of the King. Billie was a Godmother to over ten children!
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Fisher Sr., and her son, Don L. Fisher Jr. (Merry Ann), of Hawaii. She is survived by her dear friend, Wally Walters, of Olympia, two other sons, Chef John R. (Kathryn), Renton and Matthew A. (Michelle), Olympia. Her grandchildren are Todd (Lisa), Jon, Madison and Madeline. Great-grandchildren Erin, Mark, Jonah and Great-great grandchild, Andrew.
Billie adored her family, was a good friend to many, and she led us all to Christ! We will miss her impish grin!
Viewing will be on Friday, April 15, from 1-5pm at Mills & Mills, Tumwater WA. Her memorial service will be Saturday, April 16 at 9am, at St. Benedict Church, 910 Bowker St., Lacey, WA, 98503,followed by a 2pm, graveside service at Sunset Hills, Bellevue, WA.
