April 20, 1925 – March 13, 2017

Dorothy N. Calvert (Dottie) passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, WA, with family by her side. She was 91. She was born on April 20, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA and married her high school sweetheart William A. Calvert, Jr. on December 22, 1945. After several cross country moves they fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and settled in Bellevue, WA in 1972.

After Many years as a secretary for Public Schools Systems her passion became volunteering and serving others. She was President of the Bellevue Women’s Republican Party, President of the Sonja Potter Auxiliary and long time volunteer of 33 years at Overlake Hospital Medical Center.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William A. Calvert, Jr. She is survived by her children, William C. Calvert of Bellevue, WA, Cheryl McDougall and husband David McDougall of Alpharetta, GA and Barbara Tangeman and husband Arland Tangeman of Sammamish, WA, seven grandchildren, Sarah, AJ, Kelsey, Mikaela, Megan, Mackenzie, and Kyle and great grandson Boston.

Memorial services will be held at St. Peters United Methodist Church 17222 NE 8th St., Bellevue, WA 98008 on April 15, 2017, at 1:00 pm.
