Eugene D. Wood

Eugene, “Gene”, a 51 year resident of Medina, passed away October 31, 2014, at the age of 86.

He graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served during the Korean conflict.

He was employed as an Electronic Engineer at Boeing Aerospace Company and received awards for Performance Excellence on the Inertial Upper Stage Program (for the Space Shuttle) and Achievement of Merit for Minuteman Ballistic Missile launches. He also was an Engineer of the Month on the B-1 Bomber.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Wood; daughter, Lisa Wood and husband, Fred Cockfield, and daughter, Sherry Wood.
